Prague - Walking Tour

First thing to do in Prague will be the city tour, you may choose either to walk, take a tram, boat or bus tour. Personally I think to enjoy Prague, walking tour is the best. But remember, do wear your jogging or your most comfortable shoes, you will be walking non stop for hours.

For bus or boat tour you may go to the booth in front of the powder tower, or asked from your hotel, it is not cost so much actually. For walking, you may just walk to the old town near the astronomical clock and look for the tour agent, most of them will hold an umbrella, pay for the price and the walking package that you would like to take. You may find the suitable tour guide according to the language that they speak.

Start Tour : 11am
Meeting point : left of the astronomical clock
Price : 399 czk for adult, 350 czk for senior citizen and student (4 hours)

Itinerary :

My tourist guide, Barbra...hot okay...and very nice person...she is a part time tourist guide and full time medical student.

Powder Tower, where they kept the gun powder last time...

This church is near the old town square, very nice at night and we thought of taking night photo....but end up malas....sebab malam dah sejuk.... :p

Prague castle is the largest caste in the world, and you need to do a little bit of climbing to enter the castle area, even if you do bus tour or take a tram to the nearest station, you still need to walk up here, but trust me...worth the climb....patah pinggang....and the next day we climb there again...sebab tak puas round. You need to purchase ticket for short tour if you want to enter certain area of the caste, which not include in my walking tour, and that is the reason why we came back the next day.

Gothic style church at the Prague castle

Inside the church

They also have changing of the guard every hour, but not as grand as the one in London...heh..

Beautiful view of the river

Castle dia sangat la besar....ada summer house, royal garden etc etc....memang patah kaki jugak jalan dalam ni...ada ramai jugak la orang ambik gambar wedding dalam ni....susah jugak la sebab tourist ramai sangat dalam ni...kesian photograher dia...

Brown street, one of the earliest settlement in the castle area...you need ticket to enter this area...

Breathtaking view from the top....castle area...masa ni baru la menghargai kalau ada wide angle lens kan....tapi compact camera I okay jer....huhuhu...

Gambar second day mendaki castle sekali lagi...heheh...then we hang out at the wine yard area....nice...enjoying the weather, beautiful scenery, eating apples, those who drink wine can enjoy homemade local wine from the wineyard...

Shibukkk ah beg ni nak ambik gambar jugak.... :p

There are 2 ways to go to the castle, either you take the Charle's Bridge which was crowded almost morning noon and night or you take the other bridge which near the wine yard. There were lots of shops, cafe, with nice ambience around the way up there. Very nice...

At Charle's bridge lots of people selling handmade stuff, playing live music, painting etc etc...that is one of the reason why the bridge is so crowded.

So if you think you can walk, do walk, else take the bus tour, you will save lots of energy and time. But walking is the best for me....even lepas tu kena solat duduk ke sebab tak boleh berdiri dah, kaki bengkak merengek suh Ikan Paus urut non stop.

If you walk, you will see more stuff and discover more shops... :D, but frankly Prague is not a place for shopping...unless you are crazy of bohemian crystal and gems stone, they really have beautifully handmade crystal and jeweleries.
